Product

Penetrene Q3000 is a multi-purpose penetrating oil formulated to lubricate, protect, and free seized metal components. Its low-viscosity formula uses capillary action to creep into hairline gaps, corroded threads, and tight tolerances — reaching where thicker oils can't.

It simultaneously displaces moisture, inhibits corrosion, and leaves a lasting protective film on treated surfaces.

Penetrene is available in 250mL, 500mL, 1L Spray, 5L, 20L, 200L drum, and 400g aerosol. Contact us for bulk and industrial volume pricing.

Penetrene has a shelf life of 5 years when stored sealed in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from ignition sources. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use and inspect regularly for damage or leaks.

Penetrene is safe for use on most metals, rubbers, and plastics under normal conditions. It will not swell seals or degrade rubber components with typical application. For prolonged contact with sensitive materials, we recommend testing on a small area first.

Application

Apply Penetrene directly to the rusted bolt, nut, or stud and allow 2–5 minutes for the formula to creep into the thread. For heavily corroded fasteners, a second application and a longer soak time of 10–15 minutes is recommended before attempting removal.

Yes. Penetrene is effective at displacing moisture from connectors, switches, ignition systems, and electrical contacts. Apply sparingly and allow to dry before restoring power. Do not apply to live circuits.

Penetrene is widely used in marine applications including vessel fittings, trailer hardware, and dockside equipment. Its moisture-displacing and corrosion-inhibiting properties make it well suited to saltwater exposure. Regular reapplication is recommended in harsh marine environments.

Safety

Wear impervious gloves (refer AS/NZS 2161.1), safety glasses or goggles (AS/NZS 1337), and use in a well-ventilated area. For prolonged or large-scale use, chemical-resistant protective clothing is recommended. Refer to the full Safety Data Sheet for complete PPE requirements.

Penetrene Q3000 has a flash point of 70°C (Closed Cup). Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and other ignition sources. Do not use near open fire. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area in accordance with AS1940.
